This series is great for a young reader to learn a variety of information about a lot of topics.Received all the books as described! Very good, slightly used!My son loved this series. Since we can not go to the library at this time we purchased many books for him.These are simple, but still contain a lot of information. I'm not as crazy about the stories, but I really like the research guides. My son reads through every one as soon as they arrive.The book is good ,but they supply me 18 books out of 38 total volume randomly. Not very same as it is listed.The content is great and my child loves it. The problem is that the “18 book set” that we purchased used doesn’t mean books 1 to 18. Instead, they are 18 random research guides. Now it’s very difficult for me to buy more as a set since they are all scrambled.I love that Mary Pope Osborne builds into her books real life experiences in history. My daughter loves them. We research the subject matter after reading the book. We have learned so much about history. We learned about the civil war and revolutionary war at a child's level then went and visited some historic sites.My 5 year old Grandson loves them. Very interesting to read them. We enjoy them as much as he does.
